Meet the team

So this is the Peveril Podiatry team. We are based in Bradway and Totley and provide Podiatry and Chiropody care to the residents of Sheffield and the Hope Valley.

If you would like to see one of us in particular, you can ask for us by name and our reception team would be happy to book you in with your Podiatrist of choice. Have a read to get to know us a little better…

Michelle Thurman BSc (hons)
Podiatry MChS HCPC (SP) (IP)

I graduated from the University of Huddersfield in 2004 but actually developed an interest in Diabetic foot management a couple of years before I even started my degree. Once I had my Podiatry qualification, I headed straight toward the goal of becoming a specialist in this area, determined to try and prevent people from losing their legs to diabetes and peripheral arterial disease. In 2009 I reached this goal and became part of a fantastic Foot Team in Tameside and Glossop where I help prevent amputation as a Diabetes and Vascular Podiatrist. Alongside my area of expertise I have lots of experience in the treatment of all common foot complaints such as thickened nails, verrucae, hard painful calluses and ingrown nails. I spend most of the week in my NHS role but you can find me at our lovely clinic in Totley on a Wednesday working alongside a great team of physiotherapists.

Mark Thurman BSc (hons)

Consultant Podiatric Surgeon Podiatry PgDip FcPodS MChS HCPC.

This is Mark, our resident Podiatric surgeon for all your super complex foot and ankle problems. He left his home in South Wales and graduated in 2004 from the University of Huddersfield with a keen interest in the surgical treatment of chronic foot pain and deformity. Mark gained initial experience in South Gloucestershire PCT and worked as an Extended Scope Podiatrist in Derbyshire Community NHS. He is qualified in Injection therapies and uses these to supplement his treatment of chronic and difficult to treat conditions. After 12 years of training, Mark became a Specialist Registrar in Podiatric surgery in 2013 and is now a Fellow of the College of Podiatric Surgery. You can see him on a Saturday at Bradway or on a Thursday at our Totley clinic. Mark is more than happy to treat the more simple foot problems as well so please feel free to book in no matter what the foot problem might be.
